Fighting the Good Fight

It has been a while since I last updated the Sister Patriot blog!  Keeping up with new designs for the Sister Patriot shop,  putting a lot of time into the Sister Patriot Facebook  page (almost 400 members)  and being a very busy wife and Mom, is a heavy workload.  I am reading voraciously and scouring the news stories each day.  In trying to decide on a topic for this blog update, I realized that there are so many issues right now, how could I settle on just one?  We have the election campaign, both the RNC and DNC coming up, threats for violence at the RNC by the New Black Panthers and the Occupy idiots for starters, not to mention Tropical Storm Isaac headed that way (maybe the Occupy folk will finally get a shower?).  We’ve had multiple shootings, talk of our 2nd amendment rights being taken away and news today that more than half of Obama’s Twitter followers are “fake”!  There are horror stories coming out of  Egypt where the Muslim Brotherhood has been crucifying Christians.  Crucifixions have been confirmed by Sky News out of Cairo.  We just had Obama grant amnesty to just under 2 million illegal aliens under his DREAM Act.  The list is endless and I would add more, but cannot stomach it.

It’s clear that the country is in a shambles.   If my dear Grandpa were still alive today, he would say, “It’s gone to hell in a hand basket”.  He would be right.  What can we do? Actually, I think concerned Americans are doing quite a bit.  Look at the countless people speaking out!  Social media outlets are proving to be extremely instrumental in this effort to win our country back.  Connecting people from near and far.  I see it daily on my Sister Patriot Facebook page.  People are genuinely sickened over what has happened to America.  They speak out, they share stories, sign petitions and stand up for the laws put in place by our Founding Fathers.  We have the Tea Party Patriots and their rallies.  We have the Unity Rally 2012 coming up on August 26 in Tampa.  There are fabulous books by Patriots such as Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, Dinesh D’Souza, Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin and the late Andrew Breitbart.  Documentary films such as Runaway Slave by C.L. Bryant, D’Souza’s 2016 and hopefully ‘Hating Breitbart’ will be released soon.  There is an outcry in this land over injustice.  We have a great ticket in place with Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.  Two family men with morals. Men who love this country and believe in the American Dream.  Two men with proven track records and a firm plan to put in action the minute they take over the White House, starting with taking the necessary steps to undo the unConstitutional mess that is Obamacare.

As horrible as the daily news is and as dire as our country’s current circumstances, I feel a sense of hope.  First of all I have my Faith in God and that gives me great hope for the future, as I know that whatever happens, He is with us.  But seeing all of these good American people come together and do whatever they can to restore and repair our United States of America gives me great hope.  But we must all do our part.  Make sure you are registered to vote!  Talk to people every day.  There are many people who are still on the fence about who to vote for.  A large number of the population don’t research issues for themselves but just go by whatever  spun drivel the media dishes out.  Other people don’t really care.  Some feel that their vote doesn’t really matter.  Talk to people and see which way they’re leaning…  Explain to them why voting for Romney is crucial for our country.  Lend them an informative book on the subject or urge them to see one of the great documentaries mentioned above.  We all have to dig in and do whatever we can to make sure we win this election.  So arm yourself with knowledge on the issues.  And pray.  Pray hard.  ~~Sister Patriot
